جزییات کتاب
Writing scores of vignettes of action, attack, retreat, escape, and personal tragedy, Dawson compresses hundreds of interviews and eye-witness accounts into brutal, moving, tragic, and heroic stories.
Day-by-day and hour-by-hour, battle-by-battle through evacuation and the after-math, Dawson uncovers the hasty planning, official deception, the blunders and blind-ness that marked the end of the most disastrous and misunderstood intervention in America's history.
Including literally hundreds of never-before-told news stories— many of which are headline makers— here is the
nearest approach we are ever likely to have to an all-seeing observer's total picture of the fall of South Vietnam.
