The regular reader of theological literarure knows the view presently prevailing among the scholars studying the New Testament, both those who hold the Christian belief and those who maintain the critical attitude: Jesus did exist, but much, if not most, of what one reads about him in the Gospel
a) was invented by his followers, and
b) is therefore irrelevant to his teaching.

I am prepared to accept - with certain reservations - the first point, but I consider the second one entirely wrong. One should not put aside the 'invented' matter as insignificant. Ideas come to one's head - where do ideas come from? Do they spring into one's mind from nowhere? Do they have a cause-and-effect prehistory? Can one rule one's thoughts, and how? What is published here is intended to get the reader to ponder over some puzzles in the Gospel texts, which I would call 'miracles on paper'...
