SPANISH: Este libro relata las operaciones de las Compañías 601 y 602 de "Comandos" del Ejército Argentino, integradas únicamente por militares profesionales, durante la campaña de Malvinas. Es una visión diferente a la que se difundió en general: está basada en los testimonios de los combatientes, y no ceñida a planes que muchas veces no se llevaban a cabo. El relato es una descripción orgánica de los movimientos milites y de los choques con los enemigos, en vez de limitarse a vivencias personales separadas unas de otras. Pero el hilo conductor de la historia es la experiencia, las sensaciones y las reflexiones de los participantes de la campaña en secuencia integrada. Sostienen además la narración los informes oficiales y la bibliografía de ambas naciones, con imágenes y mapas que hacen comprender los desplazamientos y los equipos utilizados, más apuntes y cartas de los propios militares. La acción de los Comandos permite conocer el conflicto en forma conjunta, pues en vez de limitarse a aguardar la embestida enemiga sus componentes salían a buscarla en diferentes lugares, detrás de las líneas adversarias, en todo el territorio del archipiélago. Esta visión de conjunto excede otros relatos circunscriptos a posiciones estáticas.

ENGLISH: This book recounts the operations of Companies 601 and 602 of "Commands" of the Argentine Army, made up solely of professional military personnel, during the Malvinas campaign. It is a different vision from the one that was spread in general: it is based on the testimonies of the combatants, and not limited to plans that were often not carried out. The story is an organic description of military movements and clashes with enemies, instead of being limited to personal experiences separate from each other. But the common thread of the story is the experience, the sensations and the reflections of the participants of the campaign in integrated sequence. The narration is also supported by official reports and the bibliography of both nations, with images and maps that make it possible to understand the movements and equipment used, plus notes and letters from the military themselves. The action of the Commandos allows to know the conflict together, because instead of just waiting for the enemy onslaught, its components went out to look for it in different places, behind the enemy lines, throughout the territory of the archipelago. This overall vision exceeds other accounts confined to static positions.
