جزییات کتاب
The book explores the cataclysmic transitions in the discipline of postcolonial studies. It focuses on how the rise of a distinct and challenging corpus of writing by the Third World Intelligentsia has led to a radical shift in the understanding and conceptualization of postcolonial issues. Notions such as Cosmopolitanism, Transnationalism, and Globalization neither obliterate the specificities of the “postcolonial” nor undermine the challenges they pose to postcoloniality. Instead, their interface throws open newer landscapes of postcoloniality which appear to promise a “new world order” with diverse possibilities. The book discusses and deliberates on such new possibilities of postcoloniality in the light of the postcolonial futures, alternative cultural identitities, multiculturalism, hybridity and the like in matters of theorization, and analyses of fictional and non-fictional discourses.
