From inside the book: "The core of this work is the previously unpublished Introduction to Classical Chinese Grammar written in 1978 by Archie Barnes, who taught Classical Chinese at Durham University for over 20 years. ... Following Archie's death in 2002, Graham Ormerod, a member of one of the last classes of students Archie taught before his retirement, agreed with Archie's wife, Marie, who also happened to be a member of the same class, to prepare for publication some of the works Archie had produced in manuscript. ...
