You see, turning what we see into what we think involves an intricate series of interacting processes that is honed within the course of our entire lifetime and these processes can be riddled with inaccuracies, and biases, and subjectivity, which can turn otherwise logical thought into big blobs of irrationality. And so, to understand the rationality we call our thoughts involves understanding irrationality and understanding how these inaccuracies, and biases, and subjectivity, might be affecting the “logic” of our thoughts.
In playing around with the subject we shall explore some rudimentary principles of Human Biology, some basic theories from Psychology, the simple tenants of Logical Reasoning, and will cover broad ranging subjects like having choices and decision making, navigating societal rules and individuality, and in doing so, we will examine the thought processes of very smart people like Albert Einstein and Sir Issac Newton.
Logical thought is not limited to realm of “professionals,” or people with special skills, or qualifications, or abilities, or to people with high I.Q.s, but is an idiosyncratic understanding of how we each individually perceive and interpret the information that forms the logic of the world around us. And, if we can understand how we individually perceive and interpret the logic of the world around us, we can better understand ourselves and utilise our thoughts in a more constructive fashion.
Logic is such a universal concept that it quite literally encapsulates every single thought of every single human being, anywhere in the world. And so, I guess to that extent, no one would be really be amiss in reading more about it.
