The Discourse of Advertising explores the language of contemporary advertising. Cook argues that advertisements are always in complex interaction with the texts around them, with music and pictures, and with the people who make and experience them. This second edition addresses contemporary advertising in the context of current changes in communication. گای فاکس یا گای فوکس (به انگلیسی: Guy Fawkes) (زادهٔ ۱۵۷۰ - درگذشتهٔ ۳۱ ژانویه ۱۶۰۶) سربازی انگلیسی و کاتولیک‌مذهب بود که در توطئهٔ نافرجام سال ۱۶۰۵ معروف به «توطئه باروت» برای منفجر کردن پارلمان و کشتن شاه جیمز یکم به تلافی آزار کاتولیک‌های انگلستان شرکت داشت و از آنجایی که این او بود که همراه با باروت دستگیر و سپس شکنجه و مجبور به لو دادن هم‌دستانش شد، بیشتر او را به عنوان عامل این توطئه می‌شناسند. کتاب های مرتبط
