The concepts covered in this heavily revised edition of the book include general numeracy, equations, polynomials, roots, inequalities, powers and logarithms, trigonometry, graphing, derivatives, integrals and complex numbers.

The material is structured around short reviews and examples accompanied by exercises. The vast majority of chapters end, as does the whole book, with mixed exercises. The structure of the book makes it suitable for both teacher-led classes and self-study.
