جزییات کتاب
In this book, James Boggs wrestles with the problems of the specific character of American capitalism and Ameri- can democracy, the historic mission of the black revolu- tion in the United States, and the need for the black movement to develop theoretically and organizationally. The collection includes his remarkable essay, "The City Is the Black Man's Land," which can be considered a black "passing of the frontier," and which brilliantly antici- pated the black nationalist programs that were soon to emerge. Boggs hails the coming of the new slogan of the black revolution with an essay called, "Black Power: A Scientific Concept Whose Time Has Come." In further essays, he hammers at his theme of the "second civil war" and black control of the cities. In a concluding piece, written especially for this book, Boggs evaluates and analyzes the present stage of the movement and its various groups.
