In this book, you learn how to work with Ubuntu Netbook Remix on your netbook. Chapter 1 covers how to install it. This chapter is followed by one that describes how Ubuntu Netbook Remix is organized it teaches you how to perform common tasks and introduces this user-friendly software distribution. Given the nature of the netbook, the third chapter probably is the most important: it teaches you how to get connected to the Internet and other networks. You learn not only how to connect using your wireless network adapter, but also how to get connected to a 3G network. Chapter 4 teaches you which tools and programs are included with Ubuntu to work on the Internet. You learn how to read and send e-mail, browse the Web, optimize the browser, and perform other common Internet-related tasks. In Chapters 5 and 6, you learn how to work with different digital media on your netbook and how to perform office tasks using the Open Office suite. The last two chapters are dedicated to configuring and administering your netbook.
