جزییات کتاب
Society is rapidly changing its expectations of professionals in all arenas. In this book we focus on changing patterns of professional practice in health, education and the creative arts. In each of these areas professional practice care is undergoing major reform in a complex and rapidly changing environment. This multi-authored text explores professional practice in four key dimensions: doing, knowing, being and becoming. These concepts have been chosen to represent professional practice as much more than applying learned knowledge in practice situations. The authors present professional practice as a lived and dynamic experience as well as a process, a service for (and with) others, and a way of being and behaving. The text explores the essential unity of knowledge and practice, through discourse, narrative, imagery and critical debate. This is a book for all those seeking to learn and to improve practice.Content: Chapter 1 Framing Professional Practice: Knowing and Doing in Context (pages 1–15): Joy Higgs and Angie TitchenChapter 2 Doing, Knowing, Being and Becoming: The Nature of Professional Practice (pages 16–28): Robyn Ewing and David SmithChapter 3 Our Collaborative Inquiry (pages 29–46): Joy HiggsChapter 4 Practising Without Certainty: Providing Health Care in an Uncertain World (pages 47–61): Colleen Mullavey?O'Byrne and Sandra WestChapter 5 The Meaning(s) of Uncertainty in Treatment Decision?Making (pages 62–71): Cathy CharlesChapter 6 Finding the Fifth Player: Artistry in Professional Practice (pages 72–89): Lee Andresen and Ian FredericksChapter 7 Embodying Knowledges: Challenging the Theory/Practice Divide (pages 90–102): Debbie Horsfall, Hilary Byrne?Armstrong and Rod RothwellChapter 8 Exploring Relationships in Health Care Practice (pages 103–113): Dawn Best, Rosemary Cant and Susan RyanChapter 9 Technology and the Depersonalisation of Knowledge and Practice (pages 114–124): Charles HiggsChapter 10 The Research Sensitive Practitioner (pages 125–135): Anne CusickChapter 11 The Practice Sensitive Researcher (pages 136–146): Dorothy ScottChapter 12 Using Autobiographical Narrative and Reflection to Link Personal and Professional Domains (pages 147–160): Sally Denshire and Susan RyanChapter 13 Students and Educators Learning Within Relationships (pages 161–174): Joy Goodfellow, Lindy McAllister, Dawn Best, Gillian Webb and Dawn FredericksChapter 14 Becoming in Professional Practice: An Exemplar (pages 175–184): Robyn Ewing and David SmithChapter 15 Transforming Practice (pages 185–198): Angie Titchen, Jim Butler and Robert KayChapter 16 Articulating Practice (pages 199–211): Jim Butler, Robert Kay and Angie TitchenChapter 17 Knowledge and Practice in the Education of Health and Human Service Professionals (pages 212–226): Fran Everingham and Jude IrwinChapter 18 Parallel Journeys in Professional Practice (pages 227–237): Sue Radovich and Joy HiggsChapter 19 Developing Creative Arts Expertise (pages 238–250): Joy Higgs, Ian Maxwell, Ian Fredericks and Lyn SpenceChapter 20 Weaving the Body, the Creative Unconscious, Imagination and the Arts into Practice Development (pages 251–263): Emma CoatsChapter 21 Professional Practice: Walking Alone with Others (pages 265–272): Joy Higgs and Angie TitchenChapter 22 Towards Professional Artistry and Creativity in Practice (pages 273–290): Angie Titchen and Joy Higgs
