Values are fundamentalorientations and benchmarks for individuals and institutionssuch as justice and peace. They build the ethical frame for persons andsociety as a whole in long term perspective. The prioritisation of valuesmay change during a lifespan of a biography or in a context of a society, but the core remains constant over time. Virtues are ethical norms forindividual behaviour such as honesty or modesty. Such core virtues arecommon in all cultures, religions and value-systems since they build thebasis for all human relations. But their contextual implementation andprioritisation can differ a lot.
